Teres (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates teres.io and provides a booking platform that connects AI agents with businesses. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

What we collect

Business owners (dashboard users)

• Account information: Name, email address, and password (hashed). Used to authenticate you and manage your account.
• Platform connection: Encrypted OAuth tokens for your booking platform (Square, Acuity). Used to create and manage bookings on your behalf. We never see or store your platform password.
• Business profile: Business name, address, phone, hours, and photos. Displayed to AI agents so customers can find and book with you.

Customers (people who book)

• Booking details:Name, email, phone (optional), appointment time, and service selected. Used to create the booking on the business’s platform and send confirmation emails.
• Confirmation code: A short code tied to your booking. Used with your email to view, reschedule, or cancel.
• Reviews:If you leave a review, we store the rating and comment. Reviews are anonymous — your name and email are never shown to other users.

What we don’t collect

• Payment or credit card information
• Location data or device identifiers
• Browsing activity or tracking cookies

How we use your data

• To process bookings:We pass your name and email to the business’s booking platform (Square, Acuity) to create the appointment.
• To send confirmations: We email you a booking confirmation, reschedule notice, or cancellation notice.
• To display reviews: Anonymous ratings and comments are shown to help other customers choose a business.

Who we share data with

• Booking platforms:Your name and email are sent to the business’s connected platform (Square, Acuity) to create the booking. This is the core function of the service.
• Email provider: We use Resend to send transactional emails (confirmations, cancellations). They process your email address solely for delivery.
• Image hosting: Business photos are stored on Cloudflare R2. No customer data is stored there.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third parties beyond what’s described above.

Data retention

Booking records are retained for 12 months after the appointment date, then automatically deleted. Business accounts and their data persist until the account is deleted.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it by emailing privacy@teres.io. We’ll respond within 30 days.

Security

Platform tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. Passwords are hashed. All connections use HTTPS. We follow industry-standard practices to protect your data.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date.
